Writing at home gives your child space to explore their imagination, express their ideas and grow in confidence, with someone who cares about what they have to say. Research from the National Literacy Trust has found that children who write daily outside school are more likely to write above the level expected for their age than those who never do. Making space for enjoyable writing at home can help your child build a habit that supports their developing writing skills. It doesn’t need to feel like homework. A funny description, a few sentences or the beginning of an adventure can all be worthwhile. With Pobble Home, a picture prompt gives you somewhere to start.
