Central billing for Multi Academy Trusts
This article explains how Pobble centrally bills Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) purchasing statutory assessment contracts.
When a Multi-Academy Trust purchases a statutory assessment contract, Pobble sets this up as an organisation-level subscription rather than individual, standalone school subscriptions.
This approach allows us to:
-
Centrally bill the trust
-
Link all participating schools under one organisation
-
Apply MAT-level pricing and, where possible, pass on discounts
-
Maintain clear visibility of which schools are included and what they are paying
Central Invoice
-
Pobble will issue one central invoice to the trust (or nominated central finance contact).
-
The invoice will cover all participating schools under the statutory assessment contract.
Invoice Breakdown
Where required, Pobble will provide clear instructions and documentation alongside the invoice showing:
-
Each school included in the contract
-
The exact amount attributed to each school
-
Any agreed discounts applied at group level
This allows trusts to:
-
Recharge schools internally, if needed
-
Maintain transparency for finance teams and school leaders
Discounts for School Groups
Centrally billed contracts allow Pobble to apply group-level pricing, meaning that where possible, savings can be passed on to schools.
Reduced Charges Apply To:
-
Standalone infant schools
-
Exceptionally small schools
-
Special schools
Reduced pricing depends on the level of statutory assessment activity the school is likely to be involved in (for example, moderation scope and participation).
These adjustments are agreed during contract setup and reflected clearly in the invoice breakdown.
What You’ll Be Provided With
If you are responsible for distributing or processing payments internally, Pobble will supply:
-
A central invoice
-
A school-by-school cost breakdown
-
Clear instructions on how charges should be allocated
If anything changes (for example, schools joining or leaving the contract), Pobble will update the organisation subscription and confirm any invoicing implications.
